The first Australian Law Librarians Symposium was held on 3-4 October 1996 at the University of Melbourne.

ALLA conferences enable law librarians, legal information professionals, publishers and others to get together and share ideas, to engage in professional development sessions, and to empower and inspire each other and the industry as a whole.

​

A biennial event hosted by the Australian Law Librarians’ Association (ALLA), the Conference is the major professional and business development event in the Association’s calendar.

​

The next conference will be held from 7 - 9 August 2024 in Adelaide, South Australia.
